AGEs Form Prevention

AGEs Form Prevention

Comparison of AGEs (Advances Glycation End Products) levels to the Nattokinase group (low and high doses), control group, and normal group (Sham) showed significantly lower levels in the high dose of Nattokinase-treated rats, which was confirmed in a sprepitozocin-induced diabetes model rat.
The results suggest that Nattokinase inhibits the formation of AGEs. AGEs are known to be involved in the progression of diabetes and induction of various complications. This study suggested that Nattokinase may alleviate glycogen deposition in renal tubules and elevated CRP through inhibition of AGEs formation.
