Natto Intake and Fibrin/Fibrinogen Degradation Products (FDP)

Figure 2 is the graph which shows the changes in Fibrin/Fibrinogen Degradation Products (FDP). 5 healthy volunteers were measured the FDP from their blood by latex agglutination method after taking natto which contains many functional components.

“Control” is a single intake of natto. “2 days” is the second intake after 2 days, and “4 days” is the third intake after 4 days. All graphs show a rapid increase after 4 hours, and decrease after 6 hours and 8 hours.

Moreover, compare to the single intake of natto, the peak value of the intake decreases after 2 or 3 times of consumption. In other words, the continuous intake of natto gradually dissolves blood clots (fibrin).
